Color Challenge

 Hello Everyone and Welcome,

Today I'm sharing with you the last of my Challenge cards from my weekend retreat that I'm attending this weekend online.

This Color challenge was Melon Mambo, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Black.

So to make this card I used a base of Daffodil Delight and on it I layered Basic Black Old Olive with Basic White on top. To that I layered the flowers cut in Melon Mambo and Old Olive. I layered these on using stampin dimensionals or green glue...( multipurpose liquid glue) I stamped my sentiment in Basic Black and then added some black matte dots for bling.

These challenges were so much fun and got us warmed up for all the lovely stamped projects that they will be sharing with us attendees this weekend. I can't wait to get inspired to be able to share more projects with you guys.

So I have a full day of stamping ideas coming at me Today so I'm going to say Thank You for stopping in and I'll be back on Monday to share more with you!

Have a great day and HAPPY STAMPING....CAROL

Tulip Fields Tic Tac Toe Challenge

 Hello Everyone and Welcome,

I'm back with another Challenge card! I tell you I should do these challenges more because I really get some stamping done when I do. So we were given a 3 x 3 card with different 9 different products on it and we had to choose three to use on our card. I chose DSP, Fav Color, and Die Cut ( or punch)

I hadn't yet been able to try out my Tulips Fields Bundle yet so I chose that for my die cut. It has some beautiful paper that coordinates so I chose that for my DSP and next to Pink, Purple hues are a fav. So That was my guide lines.

I started with a base of Rich Razzleberry and layered this oh so lovely tulip paper on it. I then cut out the windmill using Fresh Freesia, Rich Razzleberry and Evening Evergreen cardstocks. ( they were all colors listed in the designer series paper) Once I layered them together I used a small black brad to the center of the windmill. I layered all that on a piece of Basic White layered with a piece of Evening Evergreen I stamped the sentiment using Rich Razz ink.

Challenge done! Hahaha Look at me go this week! LOL  Whaaaaa Hooooo!

Ok I have one more challenge to share with you. BUT....I'm still working on it. I did one card and well it didn't come out right so I'm going to have to give it another try! So if all goes well I'll have that for you tomorrow. It's a Color I'm certain I can do it. Hahahaha

Hope you are enjoying these cards I'm sharing with you! I have been having a lot of fun with them. Let's hope I can keep going with these and stop slacking off so much. That's my goal anyway. Tomorrow is the big day for my Uplines quarterly stamping event online so I should have a lot of things to share after this weekend.

Take Care...Thanks for stopping by and HAPPY STAMPING....CAROL

Cactus Cuties Card Challenge

 Hello Everyone and Welcome,

I'm back again Today to show you another card challenge card I made. The theme of this challenge was Simple Card. What does that mean? Hmmm well no embossing folders, no die cuts, Not a bunch of products.... just stamping. I didn't even use dimensionals LOL and I use them on just about everything. The purpose was to show you can make great cards with only a few products. Stamps. Ink. Paper! or SIP if you will. Okay well I added a couple embellishment too but they were easy ones. Let me explain.

For the stamps I used the Cactus Cuties set from the new Jan- June Mini Catalog. I have mentioned this before but I really love this set. I love I don't have to color it. I can just stamp the different parts to get the different colors. Here I used Flirty Flamingo, Granny Apple Green and Memento Black inks. For the paper part I used Flirty Flamingo, Coastal Cabana, Granny Apple Green and Basic White. I added some ribbon but it was just a single knot with long tails. So easy! I used some black dots to bling it up a little but that's it.

Oh I did stamp a matching envy which is something I usually forget to do but look at me killing it Today! Hahaha

So a great looking card from just a few products that coordinate.

You can do it!

Yes you can....try it!

Okay that's all I have for you Today!

I'll be back Tomorrow with another card from another challenge I participated in.

Catching Butterflies

Hello Everyone and Welcome,

Today I'm sharing with you a card I did for a Challenge with my fellow stampers. How many of you use Embossing folders regularly? How many of you mix embossing folders together on the same card? Well this challenge was all about Embossing Folder Fun and using more than one design on your cards. Until i took this challenge I never really thought about mixing up multiple different folders on one project. Just never occurred to me much. Hahaha

So for this card I used the Parisian Flourish folder from the Annual Catalog on the card base  and the new Gingham folder from the Jan-June Mini Catalog on my Balmy Blue layer. But, before I embossed the balmy blue I stamped it with tone on tone stamping of the butterflies.

The set I used is called Catching Butterflies from the current Sale A Bration Brochure. This little girl with the butterfly net is just too cute. The image was a quick color with only a few stampin blends markers.

So I hope this will inspire you as it did me to try using  a few different textures on your cards or projects. Sort through your stash and see what you have that will work together nicely. You may be surprised on what you find.

That's all I have for you today. But I'll be back soon with another challenge result. I believe the next one I'm doing is using a "Simple Card" challenge.

Take Care and Happy Stamping......CAROL

Cactus Cuties

Hello Everyone and Welcome,
It's Blog Hop time!!!

Today's hop is featuring products from the  Jan- June Mini catalog, and the bundle I chose to use is the Cactus Cuties Bundle. I really like this adorable cactus and the set is so easy to create with. You can make simple and sweet projects without a lot of layering and fuss or you can step it up and make fun layers.

With this first card I just did some quick stamping on a single layer of Basic White cardstock I then added a layer of color behind it. I added that to a card base of Mint Macaron. I did layer the sentiment by stamping it on a basic white scrap and trimming it down. I finished off the card with a few Brushed Metallic dots. Oh guess I should mention that I used Pear Pizzazz, Mint Macaron, Flirty Flamingo, Evening Evergreen and Blushing Bride for my colors. Who wouldn't love getting this sweet card.?
I was having so much fun with this set I had to make another. Then wouldn't ya know it I couldn't decide which one to use for the Hop so you get both!  Hahahaha.

On this card I used the Cactus Cuties stamp set and the Cactus Builder punch to punch out the layers. I then stamped the different pods of the big cactus behind my punched pieces. Again with some simple layering behind it made such a cute encouragement card to brighten someone's day!

I see myself using this set a lot! I just love it!

Okay I'm sure I have taken up enough of your time. Now don't forget to move on to the next blog and see what others have chosen to share with you on the hop! There are so many awesome products in this catalog, you are going to love it.

I'll leave a product list below in case you were needing anything I've shared today! Hope you have an awesome day!
Happy Stamping....Carol
